Francesca Cocchi

Francesca is a New York City-based writer and editor with more than eight years of experience covering food, commerce, and other lifestyle verticals for national outlets. Her debut novel Have a Great Summer is out 2026 from Kensington Books.

As a senior commerce editor at NBC’s TODAY, Francesca has helped develop and launch award-winning broadcast and digital shopping franchises, including Shop This List, TODAY Table, and What to Shop This Week. Her expert product recommendations (from the most flattering jeans for petite women to the best gifts to add to your wedding registry) are frequently credited across platforms. Previously, Francesca was an associate editor at Hearst’s Food Network Magazine and The Pioneer Woman Magazine. She also has many bylines across local New Jersey publications, including the Asbury Park Press, The Islander (a now-folded Long Beach Island newspaper), and Hoboken Girl.

Francesca studied English literature at Villanova University and is a graduate of New York University’s Summer Publishing Institute.

She grew up on the Jersey Shore and currently lives in Jersey City with her husband, dog, and an overflowing bookcase.
